Virginia “Vicky” Lee Lindon, age 74 of Greenville, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2024 at her home. Vicky was born in Dayton on July 26, 1949 to the (late) Dallace Barnett & Mary (Bowen) Lake; past member of the VFW Post #9936, Dayton and AMVETS Post #33, Dayton; loved to fish and do gardening; an excellent cook who loved to entertain; was a handy woman expert who did drywalling and painting; a fan of NASCAR – Jeff Gordon; a “Master Junk Hauler”, who could make something out of nothing; and loved garage sales. Preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Dillon Lee Rose, sister, Carrie Austin; brother, Jerry Dyer Sr.; and sister-in-law, Gail Barnett. Vicky is survived by her husband of 38 years, Markus M. Lindon; children, Richard Newton, Julus Newton, Starla & husband, Robert Cates, Roger Skaggs Jr. and step-daughter, Chasity & husband, Anthony Coleman; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Kathy Engle, Dallace “Butch” Barnett Jr., Doris South, Annette Peiffer, and Ricky Barnett; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral Service 3:00 PM Wednesday at Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Bradford with Pastor Ron Nischwitz officiating. Interment Gettysburg Cemetery.
